In 2005 an Englishman by the name of Mark Inns followed in the footsteps of explorers of old and embarked on an adventure that would see him circumnavigate the globe through the wilds of Africa round to the Rio Carnival in South America. Rio Carnival

As the end of my journey draw near we arrived in the party capital of the world, Rio de Janeiro for the Rio Carnival 2007. The carnival usually takes place at the beginning of February forty days before ester. We had our tickets for the main parade in the Sambodromo on the Saturday night. The Sambodromo is a long drag with stadium seating along its length.
